Sprowl Funeral and Cremation Care is compassionately serving the family of Catherine E. Hayden, 88, who passed away on May 23, 2024. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. The Celebration of Life will begin at 12:00 pm at Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church, located at 2415 8th Avenue, Terre Haute, IN 47804. Please pray for the family & friends of Mrs. Hayden.

Catherine Elizabeth Rudd Hayden was born November 8, 1935, in Morganfield, KY, to George Rudd and Flora Mae Session. After her mother's death, Catherine moved to Terre Haute, IN, to live with her grandmother, Ora Session.
Catherine attended Booker T. Washington school, worked for Columbia House Records, was a CNA, and retired from Westminster Village.
Catherine's faith was a guiding light in her life. She accepted Christ at a young age and later became a devoted member of Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church. Her service extended to being an Usher and a member of the Mothers’ Board, where she served with unwavering dedication.
Catherine was united in marriage with William Hayden for 35 beautiful years.
Catherine left to be with the Lord on May 23, 2024. She leaves to cherish her memories: Rachael Brewer, Milwaukee, WI; Dedra Tyler (Elder Ronald Tyler), Terre Haute, IN; Trent Hart (Valeri Hart) La Vergne, TN; and Derrick Hart, Indianapolis, IN,
Grandchildren, Antwan Rudd Sr., Ed Brewer III, Lloyd Rudd, William Phillips, Deborah Kay Sandifer, William Brewer, Sean Brewer, Shelmeca Morris, Dominique Norton, Leloni Hamilton, Lester Cohen Jr., Jeremy Norton, and Alonzo Hart.
A host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Catherine was preceded in death by her Grandmother, Parents, Husband William Hayden, Brothers Wilosby Kelly and George Rudd, Aunt Mildred Moore, and Children Deborah Burkins, Carolyn Crawford, and Lester Cohen.
