Darryl L. Hayes

April 20, 1953 - August 1, 2024

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Darryl L. Hayes, who entered eternal rest on August 1st, 2024, at the age of 71.

Darryl was born on April 20th, 1953. From a young age, he dedicated his life to Christ, finding his greatest joy and purpose in serving the Lord and the Church. His unwavering faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him through every trial and triumph with grace and humility.

Darryl was a devoted member of his Fall Creek Parkway Church of Christ, where he touched countless lives with his kindness, wisdom, and deep spiritual commitment. His love for Christ was evident in everything he did, and he was always eager to share his faith with others. Darryl’s life was a testament to the power of faith, love, and service, and his legacy will continue to inspire all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father Allen Hayes, mother Lavina Hayes, brother Allen Hayes Jr., sister Bonita Richardson, and brother Alonzo Hayes.

He is survived by his nephew and nieces, Karl Hardister, Lori Hardister, Valerie Harvey, and Gerald Hardister Sr., who will forever cherish the memory of his loving guidance and unwavering devotion.

A celebration of Darryl’s life will be held on August 13th, at 10:00 a.m., at Sprowl Funeral Home, 1134 W 30th St, Indianapolis, IN 46208, where we will gather to honor his memory and reflect on the incredible impact he had on our lives.
