Dr. Parvez Hasan, age 93, passed away on October 19, 2025. An influential development economist, he will be remembered for his intellectual rigor, unwavering dedication to public service and devotion to his family. Throughout his life he he remained deeply committed to development and opportunities for growth; this commitment extended to his family, friends, community and work. He was enormously generous with his time, expertise, advice and support in the service of improving the lives of others.
