Sprowl Funeral and Cremation Care is compassionately serving the family of Griffin Peyton Russo, 18, who passed away on March 2, 2025. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Griffin Peyton Russo, lovingly known as "G-Baby," passed away on March 2, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 18. His departure has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever cherish his memory.

Born on September 27, 2006, in Indianapolis, Griffin was a bright and charismatic young man with a passion for life. He graduated early from Carmel High School and had set his sights on joining the Marine Corps. His determination and drive were evident in all aspects of his life.

Griffin was hardworking and dedicated to his career. He worked as a team lead at Taco Bell from April 2023 to October 2024 before transitioning to Laibe Corp, where he was employed as an automotive painter. His strong work ethic and commitment to excellence were admired by those who worked alongside him.

Beyond his professional aspirations, Griffin had a deep love for music, cars, fishing, and spending time at the shooting range. He found joy in being surrounded by family and friends, always bringing laughter and warmth wherever he went. His goofy sense of humor, charm, and unwavering loyalty made him a beloved presence in the lives of many.

Griffin is survived by his parents, Alaina and Marcus Dunkerson; his father, James Russo; his siblings: Jason Smith, Annabell Smith, Anjalina (AJ) Grimes, Syvannah Franklin, Trevon, Trista Lane, Tesirae Lane, Taleah Lane, Josie Dunkerson, Jordan (Jacob) Corn, Jenna (Zack) Dunkerson; and his grandparents: Gregory (Tina) Drinkut and Elizabeth Drinkut (Michael Wayne Morris). He also leaves behind numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who adored him.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Fred Drinkut and MaryDonna Weaver; great-grandfather Carroll Knight; great-great-grandmother Shirley Jacobson; and great-uncle Michael Knight.

A service to honor Griffin's life will be held on March 15, 2025, at Sprowl Funeral Care located at 1134 W 30th Street in Indianapolis. The service will begin at 2:30 PM and conclude at 4:30 PM. Cremation will follow.

Griffin was taken from this world far too soon but will never be forgotten. His love for family and friends was boundless, and his memory will continue to bring comfort to all who knew him.
