Sprowl Funeral and Cremation Care is compassionately serving the family of Humberto Rodriguez-Garcia, 71, who passed away on June 17, 2024. Please continue to pray for the family and friends of Humberto. 

It is with profound sadness that we share the sudden passing of our beloved father, Humberto Rodríguez-Garcia, who left us on June 17, 2024 at the age of 71.

Humberto's journey began in Cuba where he was born and raised. He and his brother Luis constructed a raft and courageously escaped Cuba during the troubled Fidel Castro era. Their bravery led them to safety in Florida, where Humberto was granted asylum. He eventually settled in New Jersey, where he met his wife, Maritza Hernandez.
 

Together, they lovingly raised their two daughters, Aracely and Karen with the same goal in mind - provide a better life for their daughters and give them opportunities they never had. Teaching them early on the value of hard work, the importance of education and affording them the chance to graduate from college.
 

After retirement , Humberto found joy in the simplicity of life's pleasures. He loved nature, cherished leisurely walks with his dogs, and fishing but his heart belonged to horse racing. Humberto's passion for the sport took him across the country where he shared countless memorable moments with dear friends.

Humberto is survived by his daughters, Aracely Hillebrecht and Karen Torres, grandchildren Ada Hillebrecht and Ethan Hillebrecht, sons-in-law Alexis Torres and Eric Hillebrecht, his siblings Luis Rodriguez, Adelaida Rodriguez, nieces Jessica, Roxanna, Rose, Daylin, nephews Hiosvanny, Javier and loving relatives in Florida and Cuba.
