A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Lady Janet Louise Edmonson was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to the beautiful parents Benjamin King and Rosemary (Nina) Lee Martin. She was the eighth of 14 children. Janet attended Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Assembly where she was baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost at an early age.

Lady Janet passed away peacefully on June 23, 2024, surrounded by family, at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth McCray Edmonson Sr. of 37 years, her parents Benjamin and Nina Lee Martin; brothers Roland, Robert, Lester, and Michael Martin; sisters Ila Wright, Esther Dudley and Sharon Dobbs.

She is survived and cherished in memory by her children, son Kenneth McCray (Yessenia) Edmonson Jr, daughters Christine (Christopher) Patterson and Michele (Steven) Thomas: five grandchildren, Riley, Noah, Dillon, Matthew, and Salome, and siblings Myla Hampton, Elnora Evans, Lena (Lloyd) Sprowl, Norman (Josie) Martin, Gerald Martin and Deborah (Charles) O’Neal as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
