Michael R McDonald

Michael R. McDonald, 59, born June 28, 1966 and passed away February 21, 2026.  •Michael was a proud retiree of Laborers Local 1112. 

He enjoyed NASCAR, concerts, and spending time at home with his friends and his dogs, Griffin and Loki. He kept a garden and took pride in canning what he grew. Michael liked working with his hands — tinkering with lawn mowers, vintage bicycles, electronics, and cars. He was naturally curious and preferred staying busy with projects that interested him. He was content following his own course.

He is survived by his mother, Jan McDonald and her husband, Rex Burke; son, Seth McDonald (Matthew Rumple); daughter, Gracye McDonald; granddaughter, Arianna Jane Stewart; sister, Janie Upchurch her husband, Bill Upchurch; niece, Gabi Upchurch; nephew, Jesse Upchurch; and cousin, Angel Halle Nichols (Scott Long).

His family will celebrate his life in a private gathering.
