Noel “Calliou” Solis, 20, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
Noel was full of life and brought energy, laughter, and love wherever he went. A devoted father, son, brother, grandson, and fiancé, he was known for his sense of humor and the joy he brought to those around him. He loved playing video games and proudly considered himself an NBA 2K champion. He was an avid fan of boxing and UFC and had a special love for animals. Above all, his favorite companion was the family dog, Urkel, whom he affectionately referred to as his brother.
Noel shared a special bond with his beloved grandmother, “GiGi,” Maureen Mails. During her final years, he could often be found by her side, climbing into bed with her to watch cartoons and Court TV, keeping her company, and sneaking her Dino Egg Oatmeal. His willingness to step in, help, and simply be present reflected the kindness and compassion that defined his character.
Noel is lovingly survived by his daughters, Arlaija Solis and Nalani Solis; his mother, Rebecca Powers (Rafael Ayala); his father, Noe Solis (Courteney Cantu); his brothers, Darius Solis, Airam Solis, and Alesso Solis; his niece, Arabella Solis; his maternal grandfather, David Mails; and his girlfriend Hannah Brennecke; and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Maureen Mails, and his paternal grandmother, Maria Velasco.
Though his time with us was far too short, Noel’s laughter, love, loyalty, and unforgettable spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
