Otha Scott Obituary

"Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss.  Our thoughts are with you & your family during this difficult time." Sprowl Funeral

Otha Thomas Scott Jr. was born on July 8, 1969 to the union of Jemima Luzenna Brown Scott and Otha T. Scott Sr. in Terre Haute, Indiana. Otha gave his life to the Lord at a very early age; and was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Otha faithfully attended New Beginnings Fellowship Church under the covering of Pastor James Anthony Jackson in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Otha graduated from Terre Haute South Vigo High School in 1988. Otha played football as well as a baseman for the cheer team at Terre Haute South. Once Otha graduated he attended Indiana State University and was a stuntman on the cheer team. Otha was employed with Brunswick Mercury Marine Corporation in Brownsburg, Indiana.

Otha, A.K.A. Coach Scott, and 0.I. was blessed with the biggest heart of passion for coaching and serving hundreds and thousands of children throughout Indiana.

Otha possessed an unmatchable sports IO for every sport he played. At a very early age Otha was very confident in his skills and abilities when it came to any sport he participated in. He was a winner from the beginning and no one could tell him otherwise. Otha's mother instilled in him to always believe in yourself; Her exact words were "If you don't think you are the greatest; who is going to think it for you?" Nothing but QUALITY, QUALITY, QUALITY.

Otha believed in uplifting and encouraging people. His desire was to never leave a child behind. No excuse was good enough
Otha's transition was on May 5, 2023 at 7:47 AM. He was proceeded in death by his mother J. Luzenna Scott and his father Otha . Scott Sr.
Otha leaves to cherish his memories, his children; Branden Ceasar, Alexandra, Nathan, and Darion Scott, and Phoenix Colyer. Otha also leaves to cherish his memories, His Companion Shanteil Dale, and his Bonus children; Kevin Jones, Devin Jones, and Taraco Olham; His Special Cousins Shawn Stephens Jr., Shay Stephens, and Jaylen Minnett.

Otha also leaves to cherish his memories, his sisters; Carmen (Rick) Alsum of Plainfield, Indiana, Tammy Scott of Indianapolis, Indiana, Troy (Kim) Batton of Temecula Valley, California; Eartha Humes, Debbie Owens, Ricky Smith and Otha D. Scott; His nieces, Ania Alsum, LaKendra Evans, LaToyia Wilson, and Anastasia Scott; his grandchildren; Anthony and Adrian Mcgill, and Braelynd Ceasar; His nephews Jordan Morris, and Rickey Alsum Jr, and his Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.
