The staff of Sprowl Funeral and Cremation Care are compassionately serving the family of Richard West, 70, who passed away September 16, 2021.  Please keep the family in your prayers as they mourn the loss of their loved one.

Richard was a husband, father, grandfather, brother and dear friend.

He is survived by his children and their families: Heather, Stacy, Sara, Roxanne, Katie and Bryce.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Rich went to school and traveled around the world as a missionary.  As a young man, Richard met the love of his life, Carolyn, in South Africa.  They eventually were married and shared life together for 38 years of marriage. After 4 years in Swaziland, South Africa, Richard and Carolyn spent much of their married and family life on Guam, but due to the call of God and Rich’s special talents, they lived in different places around the world (including Bonaire) for years at a time.  Rich served the Lord faithfully for 48 years.  

Jesus gave us great words of hope and comfort when he said:  "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die." (John 11:25)
