Wimberly Cornell Tyler, age 47, passed away on March 13, 2026. He was a father, son, brother, and a man who was dearly loved by many. Wimberly will be remembered for his presence, his strength, and the lasting impact he made on the lives of those who knew and loved him.
WIMBERLY CORNELL TYLER, “WIMBO”, “BO” as he was most affectionately known, was born on December 17, 1978, to the proud parents, William D. Tyler Sr. and Rita J. Williams-Tyler-Hicks in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Wimbo, with the most infectious smile, and an instant love and passion for sports, music, cooking, and attending to the needs of other people. He worked as a cook in several restaurants in the Terre Haute area, Sonic, Metro Diner, Cracker Barrel, Friday’s, Denny’s, and many more. His greatest desire was to be a Chef. He loved boasting about how great the Jacksonville Jaguars football team was with his brother and friends.
Wimberly, at 47 years old, departed this life on March 13, 2026. He is preceded in death by his Son, Darian, Mother (Rita J. Hicks), Stepfather (Joseph Hicks), and his Paternal Grand-parents, Raymond Z. Tyler (Rachel Emeline Allen) and Howard Williams (Prussia Scott). Special Friend, Celeste Shepard.
