Managing Funeral Director/Co-Owner
Lloyd A. Sprowl II has been happily married for over 25 years and brings over 10+ years of experience as a Master Embalmer and Funeral Director. He also served as a Deputy Coroner with the Marion County Coroner’s Office, gaining extensive experience in death investigation. Licensed in multiple states, Lloyd finds comfort and purpose in assisting families with international repatriation, ensuring loved ones are returned home with dignity and care. He has held a lifelong dream of owning and operating his own funeral home since the third grade, bringing a family-centered approach and the highest standards of care to Indiana and the surrounding states.
Co-Owner / Founder
Lori (Sprowl) Hobbs is an accomplished entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in zoning, construction, property management, and cosmetology services for the deceased. She is widely recognized as a pragmatic leader with a strong commitment to integrity, excellence, and results. Lori has a proven track record of building high-performing teams and successfully delivering on complex development and client initiatives.
Lori is the co-owner of Black and White Investments, LLC (BWI, LLC), a development, property management, and construction management firm she founded in 2005. BWI focuses on urban development throughout Indiana, with a primary emphasis on mixed-use and mixed-income multi-family communities. BWI is also the developer of record for Sprowl Funeral & Cremation Care.
When Lloyd first approached Lori and her husband, Gary, about developing a funeral home, the conversation aligned perfectly with their existing vision for the community. As owners of the land acquired through their adjacent multi-family development, they recognized the opportunity to establish a funeral home as a meaningful and valuable addition to the area. That shared vision ultimately led to the founding of Sprowl Funeral & Cremation Care, where Lori serves as Co-Owner and CEO.
Deeply rooted in purpose, Lori is honored to carry forward the legacy of her parents, Lloyd I and Lena Sprowl. The Sprowl name represents a long-standing commitment to service, dignity, and community care, values that remain at the heart of everything she does and are reflected in the mission of the funeral home.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Lori is deeply committed to service and community impact. She has contributed her time and leadership to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Building and Impacting Communities (BIC). She is also a co-author of the book collaboration Diary of a Happily Married Wife.
Lori and her husband, Gary, have been married for 32 years and are the proud parents of three adult children and grandparents to two beautiful grandsons. They are active members of Traders Point Christian Church.
